Providing a public platform for bioethics discussions

We host several bioethics-themed events throughout the year, including our weekly JCB Bioethics Seminar Series from September to April. We also hold signature events such as the annual Alloway and Jus endowed lectures, a partnered lecture series on Ethics and Governance of AI for Health with the Women's College Hospital Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV), as well as additional special events dealing with major ethical issues in health.

JCB Bioethics Seminar Series

JCB offers a wide variety of bioethics topics since our founding. Speakers come from the local, national and international community in bioethics. These seminars are open to the public and we encourage anyone with an interest in bioethics to attend.

The JCB Bioethics Seminar Series takes place during the University academic year (from September to April). The 2026-27 season will continue to take place online. Please check the calendar to confirm seminar details.

We live stream each seminar via our YouTube channel. You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notifications of upcoming webinars, or sign-up to receive our weekly email notices.

To register for upcoming seminars please visit our events page on Eventbrite. The direct link to that week's seminar will be emailed out to registered participants on the day of the seminar.
