Primary Responsibilities

Laurie is the Web & Communications Administrator for the JCB. She wears a variety of hats within her role, but is mainly responsible for developing marketing initiatives (graduate programs, events, etc.), website design/development, writing content, communications, managing the JCB's social media channels, designing graphic/print materials, editing The JCB Voice, organizing and webcasting events such as the JCB Bioethics Seminar Series, editing video, and more.

Laurie has worked in various roles for the JCB over the years beginning in 2004. In 2006, she left Canada to live abroad in London, UK for two years where she worked for an East London non-profit NGO managing their marketing and communications needs, including producing content for the website. She returned to Toronto and has been with the JCB in her current position since 2012.

She is an avid life-long learner and is currently working towards the Advanced Marketing certificate and the Multimedia Storytelling & Content Marketing certificate with the School of Continuing Studies at U of T.
