Career paths in bioethics
Our faculty, students, and alumni are continuing to excel in academic and leadership roles in bioethics. In fact, many of our faculty teaching in the Master of Health Science in Bioethics or supervising Collaborative Specialization in Bioethics students are themselves graduates of these programs. In Ontario, the vast majority of academic health institutions’ ethics programs are led by a graduate of one of our academic streams, and they are making an impact on ethics education and policy, not only in their organizations but on a global level as well.
What comes after your MHSc in Bioethics degree?
Our MHSc students come from a variety of professions, and their interprofessionality is a great strength of the program. Our graduates have careers and expertise in the following areas:
- arts
- dentistry
- medicine (family, internal, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, ophthalmology, pediatrics)
- nursing
- philosophy
- public health
- sciences (biological, biomedical, genetics)
This unique program is a leading developer of practitioners engaged in bioethics education, consultation, policy, research and leadership activities.
Graduates from both of our education streams bring bioethics expertise to their work in health organizations, research institutes, government, and universities across Canada and the globe.
